I only just saw this show today, and thought the premise was awesome! :D

I was thinking it could use a womens category.

I liked seeing the various sportspeople having a go, but was suprised that you had a rugby league and a rugby union player at the same time.
Otherwise I thought the variety was pretty good.

I’d like to see a mountain biker take part in the next one, because of the powerful legs and hand-eye coordination required.
Someone like Sam Hill, who is a world-champion downhill bike racer. He’s famous enough international people would probably even watch the show.

Great question Oz!

I’d love to see an ametuer wrestler or weightlifter, someone built for intense strength.

I would like to see a gymnast-strength, flexibility, fitness they would really be in with the competition, I have also noticed that most of he competitors come from team sports.

Indi
I would like to see women to but I dont think it would be such a good show as women arent known as much as men in the sporting world.

What about women like Emma Snowsill, the standout Aus swimmers, Sally Mclennan? You can’t tell me they are’t known in the sporting world.  And just because athletes are well known doesn’t mean they are necessarily any good.  But I agree with what you said about noticing majority are from team sports.  Who knows how the athletes competing were chosen?

I’ve been watching this show. I reckon its great. I hope theres a season 2. This would be my dream lineup:

Motosports - Mark Webber (fittest F1 driver)
Boxing - Anthony Mundine (talented, personality)
Union - Timana Tahu (dual international, ball skills)
League - Greg Inglis (size, explosive)
Afl - Adam Goodes (brownlow medalist, skills)
Soccer - Tim Cahill (competitiveness)
Cricket - Mike Hussey (determination)
Athletes - Craig Mottram (endurance)

Definately Inglis, he’s awesome. I can imagine him in a try scoring challenge, fending off the opponent with his long arms. Now that would be hilarious.

Damn good list.  what about for tennis pat rafter!  and for athletes Matt shirvington. Both of them have some personality too. Or if rafter is too bust try marc Philopooses (cant spell) give the poo a go!

rafter and shirvos fittest level probably went downhill, but they be great as well. I don’t think philippoussis is a good idea. He won’t last the 1st episode.

I must say this seasons lineup is awesome. If there is another season, I wonder if they can really beat it.

It totally needs a women’s event.  Come on Rexona, don’t be discriminatory!

I’d say swimming, athletics, mixed martial arts… but you’ve gotta keep the team sports boys in there - those are the sports Aussies love and watch!

I think you can go a few different ways:
A comination Skills, Power and Endurance/Fitness challenges would prove a true test.

I definitely think you need a boxer in there (I think Mundine would actually go pretty close to overall winner). A tennis player, golfer and swimmer would be great too. And what about a snowboarder or skiier?

Having said that, what about different versions:
Battle of the footy codes AFL v Rugby v Soccer v League?
Individual codes ie who is AFL’s greatest athlete? Run through a series of AFL skills but then put them through other sports challenges.
A women’s event would be good. I think some of our elite female athletes would take it to some of the blokes.
A teams event eg. Cricket v Iron Man v Swimming v League v Golf (maybe have one male and one female athlete).
A retired sportspersons event to see who has kept in shape after their playing days are over?!!
An International v National Sportstar event?

I was wondering about clauses in their contracts...did their clubs/sports allow them to compete. Were they covered in the event of injury? Cant see Everton letting Cahill

A great concept, lots of possibilities. I especially like the way it can encourage more active lifestyles across a range of sports.
